HYPERLITE MOUNTAIN GEAR PARTNERS WITH MARRIED TO THE TRAIL

Veering from the very exciting news about my book being ready for purchase (now available through my website via Paypal), I wanted to start announcing some of my sponsors for the next grand adventure. (I know, I know…when do I sleep?) Yes, many of you know that I am heading to the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail in a few months time (Roughly 77 days but who’s counting?) But this is not an ordinary thru-hike as I will be hiking the Appalachian Trail followed by the Pacific Crest and then the Continental Divide Trail. All in one calendar year. The Calendar Triple Crown, as it is intriguingly known. 7,500 miles. 3 thru-trails. One woman. One year. Deep breathe insert here.

In order to dive into an adventure of this size, I would not be able to do it without the partnership with several brands. I am super excited to announce the partnership with Hyperlite Mountain Gear. Made in Maine, HMG makes backpacks and shelters that offer superior durability using ultralight fabrics. They construct their products using Cuben Fiber and Dyneema making their packs and shelters lightweight, durable, waterproof and resistant to the harsh rays of the sun. With next year’s adventure taking me first through the frigid winters of the Great Smoky Mountains and New England (not to mention all the miles in between), and then through desert and mountain along the PCT and CDT, I will need a pack and shelter that possess these qualities without uncertainty. Cold and wet, here I come!

  1. Yeah!! I’ve been waiting for your book since before your new Zealand hike which I followed and have everyday since. Will do the same on the Triple Crown. I will silently cheer you onward. Now I just want to know if I can purchase a copy at the Patagonia store? I’m almost 80 but just love following your adventurous spirit and don’t have
